Home Remedies for Dry Hair

Women are very meticulous when it comes to their appearance. They settle only for the best especially when it comes to their hair. Hair-a-holics always try to maintain that rich and smooth hair but it isn’t met all the time. There are times where bad hair days come in. If not oily, the hair turns dry and frizzy. Both situations are not really applauding but it is very inevitable.

Having too oily hair is a total disaster and ladies exactly know what I mean. Dry hair is no exception. When dry hair occurs, there will be a great propensity that dandruff-formation will happen. Then, it is important to avoid this. Here are some of home remedies for dry hair that doesn’t cost you much but is variably effective.

Before anything else, you should first halt the reason why dry hair occurs. You can do this by being very careful with your hair. You may tell me that you are and all women are. But, you may not really understand it fully. Yes, you take care of your hair, but do you really do? Taking a bath twice a day and combing your hair doesn’t mean that you are doing a good job. You may not know it, but sometimes, you do things that can ruin your hair. Too much use of shampoo and frequent visits to salons and parlours do not improve your hair. Rather, they destroy it. So, you should know what methods are to be used so that your hair won’t get damaged.

Dry hair practically needs moisture. Then, if this is the case, you should need a conditioner. Conditioners are very good for hairs like these. One thing though. Just make sure that the alcohol content is fairly low or none at all because when there is rich content of alcohol, your hair will just get drier.  Another solution for dry hair can be the use of hot oil. Pour in the oil on your dry hair and let it stand for 10 to 20 minutes. While waiting, you can put a shower cap or a plastic bag. After the allotted time, rinse your hair with water and mild soap. You can also use any commercialized shampoo if you desire.

You may not want this next remedy, but I tell you, this one is super effective. The use of vinegar can be a treatment for dry hair without consuming hundreds of dollars for synthetic products. Just pour more or less a tablespoon of vinegar on your hair and let it stand for a few minutes. After which, immediately rinse your hair with shampoos or soap that you prefer. Do this several times a week when you take a shower. It may be the most potent conditioner ever invented.

Another remedy is to lessen your brushing. Many ladies love brushing their hair because it turns straight and smooth at some point. The problem comes in if your hair is dry. Yes, it will make your hair straight, but there is one downside. Your hair will be prone to fracture and cuts. When experiencing dry hair, remember to always brush slowly and in less frequencies.

You can also consume some foods that can help your problem. For dry hair, the best foods you need to eat are essential fatty acids. The foods rich in fatty acids are nuts, seeds, selective fruits, and mayonnaise. You may freak out because we are talking about fatty acids. Fret not because these fatty acids are considered essential which do not bulk you up when you take it in moderation.

There are a lot more home remedies for dry hair and these are just some of the major ones that if followed religiously will yield wonders.
